DJ Shenton Dixon's Profile

Intro & Profile

Shenton was the original performer at the Apollo in the world wide smash hit musical BUDDY. The producers were so impressed with his performance and due to public demand they extended the part to include the song“I’m Gonna Party” which he co wrote.

He also was featured in the Original Tamla Motown Musical “DANCING IN THE STREETS” playing along side the late great EDWIN STARR. Appearing virtually everywhere throughout the UK and various locations throughout Europe. Such was the quality of his performance he head lined the show on several occasions and was critically acclaimed with outstanding reviews.

He is an accomplished piano player, guitarist, trumpet player and has been the musical director for several gospel choirs. One of his many other talents include being a Lookalike and Soundalike of such great Soul artists as Stevie Wonder, Barry White, George Benson, Louis Armstrong and even 'The King 'Elvis Presley. (Also Sound-a-like to the late great Edwin Starr).

Shenton has also had a starring role in the detective series Miss.Marple as Louis Armstrong.

Now, we are proud to bring Shenton to you right here on Funk-U-Radio as he tries his hand at Radio Presenting with his very own show of his most favourite Soulful and Funkin Classics along with some RnB sounds. And who knows, if you're really lucky he may bring one of the Superstars onto his show for an extra special treat if you ask him nicely :-)
